Strike Serpent

Kit Review

Straight build

The Strike Serpent has been released as part of the Gigantic Arms lineup. It came out as a couple kit alongside the simultaneously released Orbital Maneuver, and it's a pretty unique mech design inspired by a sea dragon — almost like the Loch Ness Monster.

The unit features a long 6-segment neck and a wide Booster as its body. The 6-joint neck moves quite flexibly while still holding its position firmly. Aside from the handles and footrests, there aren't many other moving parts on the body, but there is a gimmick where the neck hatches and the body's missile hatches can open. The main body is just the right size for seating a Frame Arms Girl, though the seat area is a bit wide so she ends up sitting with her legs spread apart.

This kit also transforms into the arm of the Ultimate Guardian, which is formed by combining multiple kits together. Disassemble the body and reconfigure the pieces, and you get three combination parts: the arm, the shoulder, and a halo-like arrangement that goes above the head. You can choose whether to configure it as the left or right arm, which means you'll actually need two of this kit to complete the full combination.

Either way, since combining is the main point of this kit, it's probably going to appeal most to people who have the Ultimate Guardian in mind. :-)
