This is the Omega Reactor, released as part of the Gigantic Arms series. Gigantic Arms is a lineup specifically designed for display play with character kits like Frame Arms Girl, and this particular kit is built around placing a character figure inside the green clear reactor for display purposes.

The parts and overall construction are fairly straightforward, but once you actually put it together, it turns out to be quite a bit larger than you'd expect. The four articulated outer covers with plated parts on the inside can each be extended or shortened via a linked connector system, and the articulated bridge unit can be detached and reattached to the side of the main body. The whole point, of course, is loading a character inside the green clear ring — and to help with that, one green ring with a fixing pin is included as well.

That said, the range of characters that can actually fit inside the Omega Reactor is pretty limited — it's really sized for Frame Arms Girl Hand Scale figures or the Hexa Gear Governor series. According to the manual, the Frame Arms Girl Hand Scale Innocentia is listed as compatible, but since it hasn't been released yet I wasn't able to try it out. The previously released Hand Scale Gourai and Stylet don't fit because the hole size doesn't match. As for the regular (larger) Frame Arms Girl figures, the green ring isn't long enough to accommodate them — you'd need to separately purchase the five-piece green ring extension set (¥1000) on top of everything else before they'll fit.

So in short, at the time this kit came out, about the best you can do is load in a Hexa Gear Governor kit, which does give off a nice sci-fi movie scene kind of vibe. It's a kit that feels a little awkward to get full use out of right away, but if more compatible character kits come out down the line that pair well with it, I think it could be a lot of fun to work with. :-)
