This kit is the Governor Para-pawn Expander from Kotobukiya's Hexa Gear series. It's a hulking soldier that kind of reminds you of Bane from The Dark Knight Rises, and compared to the previous releases, the size difference is pretty noticeable. That said, the absolute size is still small — it's a compact little thing that fits right in the palm of your hand.
Probably due to the bulky styling, limb articulation takes a step back compared to previous releases, though the chunky weapons do allow for some pretty powerful poses. As for joint strength, it's a mixed bag — some joints are stiff while others are a bit loose, so the overall balance doesn't feel great. The swap-out hands in particular tend to pop off more easily than you'd expect, and when holding weapons, the parts connection on the weapon sections isn't very secure, so it might be worth gluing some of them in place.
The weapons include two large Gatling Blades and two small handguns, which can be mounted on the back and thighs respectively. The Gatling Blades that attach to the back are a bit tricky to keep standing upright due to their size and weight — you basically have to angle the legs back just to get it to stand.
The Gatling Blades can be connected to the backpack via soft ammo belts, which lets you pull off some really impactful poses. That said, the connection between the ammo belts and backpack is a bit flimsy, and the wrist connection is also weak, making posing a little fiddly. Still, if you get everything balanced just right (more or less :-)), it's a kit that looks pretty impressive.
Anyway, the articulation and part stability are a bit of a step down from previous releases, which is a little disappointing — but as a character, this kit definitely has a unique personality all its own. The ¥2200 price tag is still steep for the size, but if it's your kind of thing, it's a kit you'll have a lot of fun with. :-)
