The Blockbuster VF Ver. has been released as a variation of the Hexa Gear Blockbuster. It swaps out the original molded colors for an olive drab scheme and adds 8 multi-missiles to the lineup. The more combat-oriented color combined with the extra armament gives it a much more weapon-like feel overall.

Since the base kit is the same as before, all the characteristics carry over as well — including the multi-jointed legs and various articulated sections, but also that tendency for joint strength in those multi-jointed areas to get a bit wobbly with repeated posing. Because the joints rely on plastic-on-plastic friction rather than polycaps, wear-induced loosening seems pretty hard to avoid.

Each of the 8 newly added multi-missiles has an individually opening hatch, and you can arrange them in custom configurations using the various mounting gimmicks. The body itself can be posed at all kinds of angles thanks to those flexible legs.

It's a kit that feels far more weapon-like than the original version, and since the overall style and build quality are solid enough, it's a fun little build to put together. :-)
