Kotobukiya's Hexa Gear series brings us the Aerial Fighter Woodpecker (woodpecker). It's a kit that combines the Woodpecker Unit with an Early Governor body in a different molded color. It comes with a pretty stylish design and solid overall quality.

When seating the Early Governor, a joint part is added to the back to hold it firmly in place. That said, once the body is fitted in, getting the hands to grip both handles and positioning the legs on the footrests is a bit of a tight squeeze.

The Woodpecker Unit has sub-arm style limbs attached, so it does have some articulation on its own — but once you combine it with the Early Governor, moving things around isn't easy, making it hard to pull off a variety of poses.
