This is the Voltrex Wrath, released as part of the Hexa Gear series. It's based on the previously released Voltrex, but while it shares the same concept — a four-legged dinosaur-type mech with a bike-style cockpit — the design feels quite different. The torso frame structure is similar to the Voltrex, but with most of the exterior changed from head to toe, it almost looks like an entirely new-mold kit.
The original Voltrex, being an early Hexa Gear kit, had some shaky joint strength — during long-term display, the upper body would gradually lean forward. The new Voltrex Wrath is a bit larger, but the joint stability that was lacking before feels noticeably improved. It holds its position well whether standing upright or in any other pose, and it's definitely sturdier than the Voltrex.
The articulation features and cockpit usage for seating the Governor are the same as the Voltrex. Deploying the tail and striking dinosaur-like poses work the same way too, but the transformation gimmick from the Voltrex hasn't been carried over. Dropping the transformation gimmick and focusing on nailing the dinosaur mech look probably helped improve the overall durability.
All in all, as a sturdy and stylish dinosaur-type mech, the biggest plus for me is the improved joint stability over the original kit. If the design and style suit your taste, it seems like a solid-quality kit that's well worth enjoying. :-)
