This kit is the Governor Heavy Armor Type : Rook from the Hexa Gear series. True to its name, it's an enhanced version of the existing Governor, and it's gotten significantly bulkier. The parts count has increased by several times accordingly, and the price comes in at ¥5000, making it quite a pricey Governor release.

First off, the articulation is top-notch — smooth movement with solid hold, giving it an A-grade feel overall. The range of articulation is slightly above average, but thanks to the hefty design, even simple poses come across as incredibly powerful. It's a bit of a shame that there are no separate weapons at all, but on the flip side, the body alone is capable of some pretty impactful posing.

The right hand features an asymmetrical giant manipulator, with the middle knuckle of every finger articulated — and again, it moves smoothly with great hold, making it a very easy hand to pose. (A million times better than Bandai's single-piece injection-molded fully articulated hands.) You can also swap the left and right arms using the included adapter parts. On top of that, effect parts are included that let you replace the leg thrusters with ignited versions.

Since there aren't many accessories to speak of, this isn't exactly a kit with a ton to explore beyond the main body — but the solid body alone delivers a great deal of satisfaction. For ¥5000, the compact size that fits right in the palm of your hand is a little disappointing, but if you like the style, this seems like a high-quality action figure model kit that you'll find very rewarding to build. :-)
