Governor LAT Solid [Cradle]

Kit Review

Straight build

This kit is the Governor LAT Solid [Cradle] from the Hexa Gear series. Released alongside the Governor LAT Solid [Prime]as a companion kit, most of the body structure is similar — but the molded color has changed to white, and the backpack and weapons are different.

As for the body itself, only the head visor and calf parts have been changed. The shorter calves make it noticeably smaller than the [Prime]. The glide module that came on the Prime has also been removed, and the weapons have been swapped out for a Stun Rod and Lightweight Rail Gun: Type C. Just like the [Prime], it shows off the improved articulation and joint structure, making it easy to pull off and hold all kinds of dynamic poses.

The Stun Rod in particular is a pretty unique weapon — it lets you strike all sorts of staff-wielding poses like Shaolin kung fu moves. With solid hand-to-weapon compatibility, good articulation, and strong joints, it's a lot of fun to experiment with all kinds of dynamic poses.

That said, it does feel like the options are a bit slimmer compared to the [Prime] — which might be why it's priced 200 yen cheaper. Either way, it's a kit that shows off the quality of the improved new-generation Governor, and if the style appeals to you, it seems like a fun, easy pick-up. :-)
