This kit is the Hexa Gear series release of the V-Thor "Gaifu Kaisei". It's based on the previously released Hexa Gear V-Thor's inner frame, with a new samurai-style armor and weapons applied on top. The V-Thor was already packing MG Sazabi-level bulk, and with the added armor volume it's come out even more massive.

Since the inner frame itself is carried over directly from the original V-Thor, this kit also delivers as a top-tier action figure model kit with excellent articulation and joint strength. The head height exceeds 20cm and it's got some real weight to it, but the joints are solid enough to hold stable poses. That said, the upper body is large and heavy relative to the legs, so you do need to be mindful of the center of gravity when posing.

The weapons include two trigger-type ultra-large tactical blades, which can be stored on the backpack. The armor on both shoulders is the same as the V-Thor's thigh armor, and can be combined into either a large shield or board form. As an extra special gimmick, the waist belt section can be detached and deployed as sub-arms, allowing the figure to grip a nail-like piece with the body and weapons attached.
