Unfortunately, since I had glued all the heads on my Combat-san figures together for durability reasons, I wasn't able to get any swap shots T_T

This kit is the Combat-san Rookie — a mini version of Combat-san, much like Hoihoi Mini. The head size is similar to the regular Combat-san, but with a more baby-faced look and shorter body and limbs, really playing up that SD-style cuteness.

First off, true to its 3-head-tall concept, the charm of this kit is its adorable proportions. That said, with such short arms and legs, a lot of the joints had to be left out — the arms swap between 3 fixed elbow angles instead of being articulated. The legs are just straight with no movement, and you only get one shotgun for weapons, so there isn't a whole lot of variety in terms of posing options.

Anyway, it definitely delivers on the cute chibi character front. But the options feel a bit lacking, and at ¥2800 for the size you're getting, it's not exactly great value. This is probably more of a niche kit for fans of the Hoihoi-san series who love cute 3-head-tall character model kits. :-)
