Kit Review

Straight build
Kotobukiya has released Fancy Aile as part of their Medabots lineup. This is the first female-type mecha to be released in the Medabots series, and it's a kit that really makes an impression with its bright combination of pink, white, and yellow.
First off, despite its small size, a high level of color separation has been applied, pulling off the white-pink-yellow combination without a single sticker. Thanks to that, the straight build looks really striking, and the unique style on top of that gives it quite a one-of-a-kind feel.
Articulation is on the average side, but joint strength is generally solid enough that poses hold well. A support stand is included for the large Magical Broom, though you won't have much trouble posing without it. One thing to watch out for is that the shoulder ball joints tend to pop out fairly easily during posing, which is a bit of a nuisance. The wrists also have a tendency to come off if you don't push them in firmly, so be careful there. As for special gimmicks, you can recreate the Terroreta Blast firing scene by opening the canopy on the left arm — the fired Terroreta Blast comes as a separate sculpt, and it's nicely done in a small, cute way.
All in all, this is a game character plastic model kit that delivers a flashy yet unique straight build look with solid overall quality. If you're a Medabots fan or the style is right up your alley, it seems like a kit well worth building. :-)
