Kit Review

Chaos & Pretty Witch has been released as the 8th kit in the Megami Device lineup. It shares the same concept as its predecessor, Chaos & Pretty Magical Girl, and a good number of runners are shared between the two.
True to its name, the witch concept means she sports a witch's hat as one of its defining features. Just like the previous kit, a conversion function to body mode is included, and most of the main accessories — aside from the rifle — are applied in a similar fashion to Magical Girl.
The body itself has decent articulation and fairly solid joint strength, but the balance of joint tightness isn't great, which makes posing a bit of a hassle. The conversion gimmick in particular is unusually stiff, so the fixing pins and such are prone to breaking when you're swapping parts on and off (I already wrecked the back wing joint myself...), and some areas are less stiff while others are extremely tight, making it hard to gauge how much force to apply. I kept accidentally disassembling parts when trying to control my grip — sometimes too much is worse than too little, I suppose. T_T
On the other hand, the kit comes loaded with weapon accessories and allows for an almost endless variety of combinations, so you can pull off some really flashy and varied poses. That said, as mentioned above, the inconsistent tightness means it takes quite a bit of time to nail each individual pose. I tried referencing the various poses shown in the manual, and it ended up taking me nearly 3 hours just to get through the review photos.
Anyway, it's a kit that's oddly trickier to handle compared to its companion kit Magical Girl, but if you're a fan of this kind of flashy girlpla, it should deliver a visual that's well worth your while. :-)
