This kit is the Asra Tamamonomae, released as Megami Device No. 15. It comes in a large box at a pretty steep ¥9,000 price point. It's based on the previously released Asra Gumi, with the addition of the Asra Ninja/Archer weapons and new runners on top of that. The result is a kit with a whopping 56 runners — which is an impressive volume even accounting for the fact that the individual runners are on the smaller side. Needless to say, it takes quite a while to build.

The rear frame in particular — which carries most of the weapons — is especially prone to this. My solution was simple: wrap thin strips of Scotch tape around the fixing pins before connecting them. (See the review photos.) It lets everything stay poseable without glue while holding much more securely. Outside of that, the main body's joint strength is solid enough, so holding poses isn't really an issue.

There are three main configuration modes: the fully equipped Armed Mode, the Armed Mode body (weapons removed), and the Base Body Mode. On top of that, you can split the weapons into two groups and recombine them to form the flying beast drone "A" and the land beast drone "Hum" — which can then be displayed alongside the Armed Mode body for some really dynamic action shots.

By the way, the names "A" and "Hum" are rooted in Sanskrit. "A" represents inhalation or the opening of the mouth, while "Hum" represents exhalation or the closing of the mouth — together, "A-Hum" is a term commonly used to signify beginning and end. (Written in kanji it's "阿吽," but the Sanskrit pronunciation is "A-Hum.")

On top of that, you can attach the large sword and large bow to the basic ECM Jamming Rod to form the Enhanced Rod, and the shoulder armor can be mounted on the lower body to create a skirt configuration. As for accessories, you get two open fans and two folded fans.

All these weapons look fantastic, but the loose connection points on some parts do make this kit a bit of a hassle. That said, it's hard to deny that this is the most visually striking kit in the Megami Device lineup. It's a bit pricey, sure, but it's a pretty hard kit to resist. :-)
