This kit is the Buster Doll Tank, the third release in Kotobukiya's Buster Doll series. Following the same concept as before, Buster Doll Gunner's Machinika Block2-M base body has been reused as-is, but this time it's been given a more imposing look with heavy armor, four cylinder cannons, and a cape.
Since this is a series that reuses the same base body, all the characteristics of the body are identical to before — it still delivers stable quality with excellent articulation and joint strength. That said, compared to the previous kits there's a lot more stuff hanging off the body, so getting it into a pose takes quite a bit of fiddling. And given the nature of the armor, there are some limitations when it comes to pulling off more dynamic poses.
As a special option, you can combine the two cylinder cannons and the cape into a separate weapon — it's a pretty large piece, but since it plugs into the wrist it holds on just fine. You can also arrange the cape so it wraps around to the front, and a headband-removed parts option is included as well, just like in the previous kits.
Kotobukiya keeps on delivering fresh designs at a consistently high quality level. This is arguably the most reliable lineup in their girlpla figure kit series, and if the style appeals to you, it's definitely a fun kit worth picking up. :-)
