The Penetrator has been released as the 5th main body kit in Kotobukiya's Megalomania series. Like its predecessors, it Principaluses an existing kit as the base body with new sculpt additions. The molded color shifts to an olive drab palette, the head sculpt has been changed, and the separately sold Weapon Unit 37 Assault Rifle 2 has been added.

Unlike previous entries where a good number of exterior parts were changed despite sharing a similar base body, this kit keeps the main body sculpt identical to the Principal — aside from the head. A blade has been added to the left forearm, but honestly it's pretty much a color variant in terms of overall composition. That said, it's still an action figure model kit with insane articulation that's just a blast to mess around with, and you can strike all kinds of poses using the Assault Rifle 2 with its various configuration options.

So yeah, it's essentially a color variant with a few new sculpt elements and weapons thrown in — but the articulation quality is, as always, absolutely top-tier. It's a little light on novelty, but if the military-style molded colors and overall look appeal to you, this is definitely a kit worth recommending. :-)
