On top of that, the yellow-and-black combo has far better color contrast than the purple-and-black, so when you stand the two side by side, the yellow Takamura Yui's unit is just so much more striking and impressive. ^^

The Takemikaduchi's main attraction is its insane weapon options — honestly, you have to wonder what they were thinking packing in this much stuff. There's almost too much to make full use of, and it feels like sitting down to a massive traditional Korean set meal where the table is about to collapse under the weight of all the dishes. You can't finish it all, but just looking at it all laid out gives you a certain sense of satisfaction... (though of course, you're probably paying extra for all of it too...;;)

Since the structure is identical, the kit's characteristics are the same as the purple version — the proportions and sculpt are excellent, but there's so much hanging off it and parts keep popping off during posing, which makes it a bit of a handful. It's probably better to think of it as a display kit rather than an action figure. Either way, it'll likely spend most of its life in a static pose, so the sculpt quality might actually matter more.

If I had to pick between the purple and yellow versions, I'd recommend the yellow Takamura Yui's version without hesitation. If you're into complex sculpts and intricate details, this is definitely worth recommending. Either way, hats off to Kotobukiya's plastic modeling know-how for pulling off such a notoriously difficult-to-kit design like it's nothing. :-)
