This is the non-scale Fubuki released as part of the Muv-Luv series. After what felt like forever of the Muv-Luv lineup just churning out color variants of the Takemikazuchi and Shiranui, we finally get a genuinely new mecha design. The base frame is shared with the Shiranui, but a large amount of new molding has been applied throughout the kit.

First off, most of the exterior — aside from the large binders and a few parts — features new molding, which made for a refreshingly different building experience after a long while. That said, the skeleton joints and overall structure are identical to the existing Shiranui, and the design changes aren't quite as dramatic as you might expect. The molded colors are also similar to the Shiranui Isumi Valkyries version, so despite the sheer amount of new molding applied, it feels just a little less fresh than it could have been.

Still, with all that new molding comes slightly improved joint strength, so stability is better compared to previous releases. The weapon loadout and articulation characteristics are completely identical to the existing Shiranui, and you can pull off a wide variety of poses using the different weapons.

All in all, this kit is noteworthy simply for being a new Muv-Luv mecha design after such a long time. Durability and overall build quality have also improved, so if the look appeals to you, this is probably the most recommendable new kit among the non-scale Muv-Luv lineup. :-)
