Following the Aestivalis Ryoko unit and the Super Aestivalis, the Hikaru unit has now been released too. The Aestivalis itself is honestly a bit of a cash-cow frame — there are quite a few color variants out there. This kit is a variation of the previously released red Ryoko unit with the body swapped to a brighter orange, with the addition of some head parts specific to Hikaru. Even though a small extra runner has been added, the price stays the same at ¥2000 — probably just out of courtesy, I'd say?
The basic kit characteristics are 100% identical to the Ryoko unit — it's a kit with joints that feel a little stiff and pretty solid articulation. And just like that one, it's also quite a small kit, almost reminiscent of an HCM Pro. As a lineup aimed at Nadesico fans, it's the kind of kit where the intent is clearly to push out multiple releases from a single platform — beyond that, it's hard to find much in the way of individuality. That's just what this kit is. :-)
