Kit Review
Straight build
Crouching pose.
Since the knees are already bent by design, there isn't a huge difference,
but it's a relatively stable squatting pose.

It's been a while since we got a brand-new mold Armored Core kit, and following the Aaliya Unsung, we now have Stasis — another grotesque design. The legs that won't straighten out, the wide shoulders, the sharp pointy design — this is one uniquely distinctive mech in every way. It kind of gives off the vibe of a death god from Death Note..
The overall bluish metallic molded color with that gloomy, eerie atmosphere is actually quite nice — there's a fair bit of a wavy pattern visible, but the color itself looks pretty good. It suits the unusual design well and really brings out that dark, ominous feel of the mech.
The unique design means articulation isn't all that great in practice, but on the flip side, that same design means even a slight pose looks like it has real presence. Overall joint strength is excellent — there's no part that'll give you trouble from being too loose.
This is a kit where the uniqueness speaks for itself without needing a whole lot of explanation. The basic build quality is very solid, as you'd expect from a recent Kotobukiya kit — it feels great to put together, and the unusual design makes the assembly experience quite refreshing too.
Some people may have mixed feelings about the bizarre design, but as a kit in its own right, this is an excellent quality build that I can wholeheartedly recommend. :-)
