The large cape has a removable structure, so once you take it off and add just the shoulder and back parts, you've got the base body complete. With the cape on, the shoulders can barely move at all, so any dynamic posing is really only possible in base body mode. The neck, waist, shoulders, arms, and ankles all have good articulation, but the hip joints feel oddly frustrating. It's hard to put into words, but the structure just makes it awkward to position the legs where you want them. On the plus side, the overall joint strength is tight throughout, so standing upright and holding poses is actually pretty decent for the size. As for weapons, the kit includes a saber with 2 beam effect parts, and you can swap out the belt section to store it.

As a large-scale figure model kit — which you don't see all that often — it delivers solid joints and a great-looking straight build. That said, the frustrating hip joints, the color separation issue on the hands, and the dull, food-toy-like molded color of the red cape are all a bit disappointing. On top of that, the ¥15,500 price tag is a pretty significant psychological barrier. Even so, if you're a longtime Mega Man fan, this is the kind of kit where you'll probably just be grateful that the villain Sigma got such a fantastic-looking release. :-)
