The box size is roughly equivalent to an MG Gelgoog box. Noticeably bigger than your typical ¥3,000-range MG.
Box size comparison with the 1/144 Super Robot Wars series. Nice and chunky, just like you'd expect from a 1/100. ~
Honestly, Kotobukiya's molding quality feels like looking at Bandai from 10–15 years ago.
There's quite a bit of flow marks on the molded surfaces, and the colors feel a bit off too.
I guess...
Could be because it's got that oh-so-familiar "Made in China" stamp on it.
The plastic quality itself isn't bad, but the overall molding feel is very much Chinese-made..
(For reference, the photo above is actually from the 1/144 Hückebein;)
Since Kotobukiya hasn't been able to implement advanced techniques like system injection yet,
you end up with a lot of small individual runners broken up by color like this.
That said, they still manage to pull off better color separation than Bandai does.
Green clear parts...
Bandai, take some notes. Stop covering everything with stickers all the time..;;
