Following the Sniper Girl, the Imperial Girl from the game "Etrian Odyssey" has been turned into a plastic model by Kotobukiya. As you can see, she's a girl clad in complex, elaborate armor — even as a straight build, this kit already shows off impressive volume and a colorful combination of colors. ^^

The skirt section in particular, which is built up in multiple layered parts, is quite intricate and detailed, and there's a real sense of satisfaction in assembling each of these unique parts one by one. As a result, the three-dimensionality and sculpt quality after completion seems to be among the best you'll find in character plastic model kits.

That said, to achieve this level of detail and visual flair, you do have to give up quite a bit in terms of articulation and durability. T_T The complex skirt makes the legs nearly impossible to move, and all the armor pieces mean the arms can barely manage 90 degrees. On top of that, when you actually try to pose her, the shoulders, front skirt, head, and other parts tend to pop off constantly, making this one of the worst kits to pose;

And just like its predecessor the Sniper Girl, the feet are severely bound, so a separate stand is absolutely necessary — but even then, it only hooks around the ankles, so getting the center of gravity right to keep her standing is no easy task. Still, once it's finished and just standing there on display, it's undeniably a pretty little kit — and if you're a fan of the Etrian Odyssey game, it's definitely worth building at least once. :-)
