▶Box Open
TOPKotobukiya's box design — feels just a little different from Bandai's.
About the same size as a mid-range HGUC box.
Something unique to Kotobukiya @_@
Quite a few parts on the runners come pre-painted. Kinda gives off a made-in-China vibe, but..
With the renewal release, even the eye area comes pre-painted.
Painting each of those tiny little parts one by one before shipping... hmm hmm.
Paint condition on the skirt / shoulder verniers
Kotobukiya's production facility is in China.
So it's no surprise the molded surfaces have that Chinese-factory feel to them..
A baffling case of entire runners being duplicated;;
What really gets me is the runner on the left — those are the red chest piece and the red chin piece,
and you only need one of each, so why on earth did they mold the whole runner twice and throw in two of each..??
Makes no sense ^^; What's the point of copying an entire runner full of parts you'll never use..
The infamous Kotobukiya poly-caps.
It's been said that the Huckebein's renewal release improved the poly-cap strength.
It's not really bad enough to be a serious problem, but..
Seeing them in person, they have this oddly murky molded color and a somewhat vague material firmness. A bit of a worrying factor.
