Kit Review

Straight build
As a new Super Robot Wars model after a long while, the Compatible Kaiser has arrived with a design absolutely packed with super robot energy. It's a unit with a bold, striking design and a vivid, primary-color scheme.
Setting aside everything else, this is a kit that'll have you shouting "Only Kotobukiya could do this!" just from the overall color combination and proportions alone. Thanks to the incredibly intricate color separation plus over ten spots of pre-applied paint on the runners, even a straight build delivers an incredibly vibrant and flashy color scheme.
The articulation is just average, but the proportions are so good that even a simple pose feels powerful, and the joint strength is solid and stable. That said, separate from the joint strength, the feet are a bit small for the body size and the angle of the soles is a bit awkward, so there are some stability issues. It has a tendency to topple backwards easily if you don't balance it carefully, so you'll need to pay close attention to the angle when standing it on a surface. Fortunately, once you get the pose right, nothing is particularly loose, so it holds its position pretty well.
The weapons and hand sets feel a little light, but the main body itself is excellent enough that it's not really a big deal — and personally, I actually prefer having the focus on the main body like this rather than packing in a ton of accessories. (Makes reviewing easier too.. ahem)
Rather than going on and on with explanations, just take in the gorgeous look you can see in the photos — this is a kit you can enjoy building without any major drawbacks. Especially if you're after high quality straight out of the box, this one comes very highly recommended. :-)
