Raiden II [RNA Side]

Kit Review

Straight build

Following the Raiden DNA Side, the Raiden II [RNA Side] has now been released.
In game terms it's kind of like the difference between a 1P and 2P character, but in practice the kit's construction is 100% identical — only the molded colors have been changed.

The one thing that has changed is the special weapon. The Laser Unit that came with the DNA Side kit is gone, replaced by an armament called the Fragment Claw. So while the body structure is the same, it's a kit with a different weapon loadout.

The basic characteristics are naturally the same as the existing DNA Side kit — a massive number of parts and a satisfyingly hefty weight — but this is not a kit where you should expect much in the way of articulation. Joint strength is reasonably decent, though, and I'd strongly recommend gluing throughout the entire build. If you just snap it together... there are parts that'll give you a real headache later on. With so many parts, keeping track of all the ones that keep popping off is a real pain.. T_T

The newly added Fragment Claw shows decent color separation and solid overall quality. Ultimately, you can think of it as having one more option to choose from — picking DNA Side or RNA Side based on which weapon you prefer or which color scheme suits your taste. That's just how color variants work, after all.. :-)
