Command Wolf LC&AC Barad ver.

Kit Review

Straight build

As yet another variation of the Command Wolf, the Command Wolf LC&AC Barad ver. has been released. The previously released Command Wolf lineup included three variants: the white normal configuration armed with the 50mm anti-Zoid twin beam cannon, the LC configuration with the Long Range Rifle, and the Attack Custom (AC) configuration. This kit bundles all three weapon sets together in one package. And under the "Barad ver." label, the outer armor has been molded in metallic color. In short, there's nothing new here whatsoever — it's a straightforward color variant.

The outer armor isn't plated, but the metallic blue molded color does give it a fairly premium feel. It's not a flashy shine, but the color delivers a subtle, understated metallic look. On top of that, since all three Command Wolf configurations are included, you could call it a pretty generous package in its own right. And perhaps feeling a bit guilty about just bundling things together, they also threw in a pre-painted pilot along with a small Judgeman figure as an extra.

It's a color variant kit without any particularly standout features, but... since the Command Wolf itself was a pretty solid kit to begin with, the quality here is reasonably decent as well, and having so many weapon options does make it feel like a satisfying package. For anyone who had trouble deciding which Command Wolf variant to get, or who wanted the Long Range Rifle configuration that was hard to track down as a limited release, this should make for a welcome gift either way. :-)
