MG AV-98

Ingram 3

Kit Review

Straight build + panel lining + partial paint + decals

Following Units 1 and 2, Unit 3 makes its appearance as well. Since only the shoulders, head, and pilot differ while the structure is identical, for its inherent characteristics please refer to the Ingram 3
Unit 1 review
for reference.

Unit 2 had the bonus of a shotgun that Unit 1 didn't have, but Unit 3 doesn't even have that — it's basically the same loadout as Unit 1. The only distinguishing features of Unit 3 are its noticeably simpler head design and slightly more angular shoulders. The Unit 3 pilot figure of Shinobu also becomes nearly indistinguishable from Unit 1's Noa figure once the helmet is on. (If you look closely at the back of the figure, you can tell them apart because Shinobu has her hair tied back.)

So there really isn't much to specifically explain about Unit 3 — the bigger significance here is completing the lineup of all three units. If you're going to collect them, you really do need all three standing together to get that true *Patlabor* feel. ^^ That's all.
