This kit is the MG Gouf v2.0 ~ Clear Color ver. limited edition, released alongside the Char's Zaku 2.0 Clear at the 2010 Gundam Expo. The basic composition is the same as the existing clear color kits, and the clear parts molded in deep blue and sky blue are really striking.
The overall quality is very solid, as you'd expect from the high-quality Gouf 2.0, but due to the nature of the suit, the blue-tinted clear parts make it a bit hard to see the inner frame clearly. Ironically, the packed-in 2.0-style gimmicks inside are actually easier to see on the normal Gouf 2.0 with the special clear parts applied.
The colors are on the darker side, but the glossy sheen flowing across the whole body — that clear kit charm — is really something to behold. It's got this mysterious yet powerful vibe, you know? The sky blue clear parts might look a little cheap depending on your perspective, but given the nature of the color, this is probably the best Bandai's technology could pull out of it.
Compared to the normal MG Gouf 2.0, which had a bright and cheerful look that made it seem almost a bit too gentle (?), this clear color version transforms it into something much weightier and more imposing. As a limited edition, just being a clear version of the Gouf 2.0 is already a pretty strong selling point in itself. :-)
