Kit Review

Straight build + Panel lining + Decals
When the Mk-II AEUG version was released, a Titans version was naturally expected — and sure enough, they went ahead and released it right away one after another. As you'd expect, it's a variation kit that's identical to the AEUG Mk. II except for the molded colors. As everyone knows, the AEUG's Gundam Mk. II is basically the Titans' Mk. II that was stolen and just repainted ^^; So all the kit's characteristics are the same as the AEUG version — for a more detailed review, check out the Gundam Mk-II AEUG version reviewfor reference.
Naturally, the pros and cons are identical to the AEUG version — it still has wobbly joints, weak grip strength, wrists that pop off easily, and a so-so proportion... but the impression the coloring gives is quite different. Unlike the slightly old-fashioned gray, the Titans colors have their own unique charisma. Maybe that's why the proportions somehow look better too (;;;), and the flaws feel a bit more hidden... Since this color scheme is relatively rare, it has some collector's value as well. The molded colors are a bit dark so photos come out looking a little gloomy, but in person the colors actually look much better.
Since nothing has changed except the molded colors, there's not much to say. Personally, I tend to recommend the Titans version first to anyone looking to get the MG Mk-II — but if you're going to build one anyway, why not build both the AEUG and Titans versions as a set! ^^

|---|---|---|
| Category | Rating | Analysis |
| Seam Lines | ★★★★☆ | Panel lines and parts separation hide a lot of the seam lines. |
| Molding Color / Color Separation | ★★★★★ | Color separation is nearly perfect. The charisma of the Titans color scheme. |
| Proportions | ★★★ | A gorilla in high heels. Plenty of controversy, and the reception isn't great. |
| Articulation | ★★★ | The arms are quite good, but the legs are lacking. Doesn't pull off many dynamic poses. |
| Joint Strength | ★★☆ | Overall wobbly feel. Weak grip. Weak ankles. Wrists that pop off easily. |
| Internal Frame | ★★ | Movable frame only in the legs. The limitations of early MG kits. |
| Detail | ★★★★☆ | Nothing seriously wrong with it, but it doesn't feel completely perfect either. |
| Weapons / Accessories | ★★★★★ | Everything the Mk-II needs is included. |
| Parts Count / Price | ★★★★★ | 309 parts total. Parts per ¥1,000: 110.4. That's on par with a ¥3,000-class kit. |
| Uniqueness | ★★★★☆ | A simple color variant, but it somehow feels like it surpasses the original. |
