This kit is the First ver.1.5 All Clear version from the MG All Clear 3-kit set that was briefly distributed as a prize in the 2008 Gundam Base summer campaign. At the time, three kits — the First 1.5, Nu Gundam, and Aile Strike — were released as all-clear limited editions, but since it wasn't a regular event limited release, they were shipped out in plain delivery boxes with no special box art whatsoever. The manual was also just a black-and-white photocopy of the existing standard manual on plain paper — in some ways, a very "special" kind of limited edition indeed.

The basic kit contents are simply all the First 1.5 runners molded in transparent clear, but as mentioned in the photos above, the front chest parts for the 1.5 were missing for some reason. Since this was such a manually packaged special limited edition, I honestly can't tell whether it was an accidental omission or intentional — but either way, it was quite a baffling situation. Instead, the 1.0 front chest parts were included in clear, and since they fit together surprisingly well, I had no choice but to build the front chest section using the 1.0 parts. Of course, being an all-clear version, the details are hard to make out so it's not easy to tell the difference — but still, it left me with a nagging feeling that something wasn't quite right.. ㅡ.,ㅡ

Since every runner is molded in fully transparent clear, it's unavoidable that the overall presence of the kit feels a bit faint.. but on the flip side, the ver.1.5's signature solid one-piece leg parts are included as original parts. Thanks to that, from a distance the body practically disappears and only the legs are visible, giving it a rather odd look. As for the clear runners themselves, the molding quality isn't too bad, but as you'd expect from clear parts, they do feel noticeably stiffer than standard parts — so dealing with gate marks and the tight fit during assembly is just something you have to put up with.

Honestly, the kit itself doesn't leave the most impressive feeling, but I think its value lies simply in being a rare limited edition. Displaying it alongside the earlier First 1.0 All Clear and First 2.0 Mechanical Clear versions that came out as contest limited editions does give a nice sense of harmony — but tracking down all three of these kits is pretty much like reaching for the stars.... ^^;
