Nu Gundam

Opening the lid of the somewhat small ¥4,000-sized box, you can't help but feel like it's a bit... bare inside.

Once you sort out just the plastic parts, it looks even smaller in volume.

And then when you tear open the bags and put everything in the box, you start wondering — wait, is this really a ¥5,000 kit?!
A wave of self-doubt (?) washes over you. Setting aside the kit's quality,
the part count just seems way too low for the price.

To support the Nu Gundam carrying the heavy load known as fin funnels...
The ankle and hip-to-leg joints are made of hefty die-cast metal.

It's incredibly stiff, so even after displaying the fin funnels on its back for a long time,
the pose never sags. Excellent~

Maybe because there were a lot of complaints that the fin funnels on the old kit were loose...
they've been upgraded to a special ratchet-joint type that clicks into place. Also excellent!

The color separation isn't quite perfect... some parts of the fin funnels are handled by the molded color,
while others require seals — a bit of a disappointing setup.
