Following the anime version Full Armor ZZ, the Sentinel version FAZZ has also been given the MG treatment. They're technically the same name, but
the anime version tends to be called Full Armor ZZ without abbreviating it, while the Sentinel side shortens it further and usually calls it FAZZ.
Anyway, at first glance it might seem like the Sentinel FAZZ was an easy color variant since most of its parts are shared with the anime version. But what really matters is that this unit comes from "Sentinel" — a story that exists only as a novel, not an anime, yet has built up a massive dedicated fanbase. This was a very significant product release.
Way back, there was even an interview where Bandai's development lead said he strongly wanted to see the Sentinel series get the MG treatment, specifically citing the fully transformable Superior Gundam as an example. And Kadoki Hajime, who handles the concept design for most MG/HGUC/PG kits these days, must have personally wanted it just as badly. So despite long-standing resistance from the planning department, the developers pushed it through on sheer willpower — and the first entry in the Sentinel series was, as expected, the easiest to kit up: the Sentinel FAZZ.
The Sentinel FAZZ differs from the anime version Full Armor ZZ in several areas.
1. The molded colors have changed to a combination of gray, blue, and white, and the color scheme for the verniers is different.
2. The head is completely different. Feels like a mix of the S Gundam and ZZ..
3. The toes are longer.
4. The backpack body itself is also a completely new design. The backpack wings are even larger.
With runners for these new parts added in, and a good number of parts from Full Armor ZZ left over as leftovers, this MG FAZZ has a whopping total of 703 parts. It boasts the highest absolute part count among MG kits, more than most PG kits even. As a result, just like Full Armor ZZ, the build time is painfully long. ^^;
Aside from some of these design changes, the structure is identical to the original Full Armor ZZ. The joints are solid so it doesn't topple easily, and since the feet are larger than Full Armor ZZ's, it has even better ground contact. That said, just like Full Armor ZZ, some of the outer armor pieces have iffy attachment points and will fall off if you bump them;; The side skirts are especially bad -_-
It's also worth noting that the Sentinel version has quite a few spots where the color separation isn't quite right. It looks decent enough straight out of the box, but since the color layout concept differs from the original Full Armor ZZ in quite a few areas, the molded colors on various verniers and chest parts came out a bit off. The Hyper Mega Cannon in particular has a more complex white and yellow combination compared to the simpler scheme on Full Armor ZZ, so getting it right takes a fair bit of touch-up painting work. (See photos)
Anyway, overall the structure isn't drastically different from the anime version, but the distinctly Sentinel-flavored head and backpack, along with the fresh color combination, somehow make it look about 2% cooler than the anime version. If you're a Sentinel fan, this is obviously a must-have, and it's a worthy masterpiece worth recommending to anyone who just loves a sharp-looking kit.

|---|---|---|
| Category | Rating | Analysis |
| Seam Lines | ★★★★☆ | Aside from the massive Hyper Mega Cannon, there's barely any seam lines to be seen. |
| Molding Color / Color Separation | ★★★★ | The color combination is complex enough that the color separation isn't quite sufficient. |
| Proportions | ★★★★★ | The sheer bulk and sense of weight are simply the best! Looks a little better than the anime version. |
| Articulation | ★★★ | Safe to say it barely moves; it's all about the bulk! That's somewhat forgivable. |
| Joint Strength | ★★★★★ | The whole body has a decent amount of resistance. Grip is weak, but you won't really need it. |
| Internal Frame | ★★★★ | Still nonexistent, but the multi-layered armor packed in from the inside says it all. |
| Detail | ★★★★★ | The color scheme somehow makes the detail look even more premium. Great head and backpack! |
| Weapons / Accessories | ★★★★★ | Everything you need is there. The main body itself is already packed. |
| Parts Count / Price | ★★★★★ | 703 parts total. Parts per ¥1,000: 117.2. Top part count among MG kits. |
| Uniqueness | ★★★★★ | It's a color variant, but it marks the beginning of the Sentinel lineup — a commemorative release. |
