Outer armor removed. The frame is mainly only on the legs.

The frame on everything other than the legs is a bit... barely worth having; but it's a transforming kit, so whatever..

Both soft rubber parts for transformation and plastic parts for painting are included for the head antenna.

Mesh pipes are used behind the knees.

The orange stripe on the movable lower section of the wing unit is handled with seals..
It's an unavoidable area, but the seals blend in pretty well so it's forgivable.

Crisp color separation on the legs. Only possible because it's MG..

A cute little shield for the A1.

On top of the beam rifle, there's a hidden locking pin, just like on the MG Hyaku-Shiki..

Using that locking pin, you can slot the rifle into the inside of the wing like that.
But it sits a bit too high up, so it looks a little off..;;

The articulation is... jaw-dropping at first glance;;
Not only do the arms and legs fold completely, but thanks to the structure having no front skirt and part of the waist section missing entirely,
the knees can bend all the way up to chest level.
The Zeta Plus is probably the only Gunpla out there that can pull off articulation shots like this..
That said, it only bends well forward and backward — side-to-side movement is pretty stingy (-_-;)
so actual action poses don't come out as naturally as you'd hope.

But thanks to that crazy leg bend... you can pull off an ultra-difficult deep kneeling pose like that.

You can even pull off an ultra-realistic squatting pose like that..
(though it looks more like sneaking a smoke in the bathroom than actually doing the deed)

If you just fold it straight down, it goes into a full bow with the body completely folded over. Absolutely wild~

That weird leg articulation is all thanks to the transformation gimmick.. ;;

Whoa.. is it doing yoga?

Alright, just go ahead and open a yoga studio..

Action poses. The articulation is what it is... but since it's a transforming kit, the side-to-side range of motion is limited,
so when you actually try to set up a realistic action pose, it doesn't come together as well as you'd expect.. Ahem;

On the other hand, deep kneeling poses like that are a piece of cake ^^;

The beam saber is stored in the side of the body..

Waverider mode. Sleek~ and sturdy!

First, back to MS mode.
The basic transformation concept of the Zeta Plus is the same as the Zeta Gundam.
So you can refer to the MG Zeta's transformation process — but the difference from the Zeta Gundam is...
a perfect, solid lock thanks to the addition of various locking gimmicksThat's the key difference.
Many of these transformation locking gimmicks on the Zeta Plus apply the excellent locking methods used on the PG Zeta.

First, when you fold the upper body back to align it flat with the back...
if you look closely, there are gray peg parts on both sides of the upper torso.
The protruding pegs on these parts connect with holes on the inside of the shoulder armor in MS mode.
This keeps the upper body armor firmly locked in place in MS mode, so it won't easily pop up.

The most problematic part of the MG Zeta...
The leg connector plate structure that has to bend 90 degrees multiple times is the same on both the Zeta Plus and the Zeta.
But the locking gimmick is different!

First, locking the peg on the rear skirt into the hole on the leg connector plate is the same as the MG Zeta.
But on the MG Zeta, trying to support the entire leg connector plate and both legs
with just that one locking pin was what caused the poses to fall apart..

On the MG Zeta Plus, there's a thin, long slot cut into the upper body section.

So you push the locking pin on the front of the leg connector plate into the upper body section and it clicks firmly into place.
This is the same gimmick as the PG Zeta's locking method,
and through this, the leg connector plate locks perfectly horizontal with the body.

By double-locking the leg connector plate from both front and back at a 90-degree angle like this,
it can perfectly support the weight of both legs!

Unlike the MG Zeta's wing connection gimmick that was a messy affair of folding and unfolding during transformation...
the MG Zeta Plus's wing connection gimmick is greatly simplified. That means there's much less room for things to get loose.

You just bend it 90 degrees once, then again, and it swings neatly into place under the body just like that.

And here's the key part... there's a dedicated locking peg for securing the wing to the body.
Again, it's a slightly scaled-down version of the PG Zeta's approach — you pull out the locking pin that was hidden on top of the wing...

and plug it into the hole next to that same peg on the upper body (the one that locks into the inside of the shoulder plate),
and the wing locks perfectly horizontal with the body, nice and solid.

And another thing — the shield locking issue that was a problem on the MG Zeta is solved too! The body and shield connect firmly at a total of 3 points.
In particular, the connection at the very bottom of the shield, where it attaches to the MS's neck area, is so solid that the shield will never droop downward.

With landing gear at a total of 4 points, the balance is well maintained.
All landing gear connection points are thoughtfully covered with covers when not in use.

The detachable front landing gear has a somewhat unique shape..

It's designed to create the optical illusion that the landing gear bay is open, as shown in the photo above.

The transformation is incomparably more solid than the MG Zeta. The pose absolutely does not fall apart!

It gives off a much more fighter jet vibe compared to the Zeta.
