Straight build

This kit is a limited edition sold on-site to commemorate Gundam Crisis, one of the attractions at Fuji-Q Highland amusement park in Japan. It's based on the MG Gundam Ver. O.Y.W. 0079, and was created to recreate the colors and decals of the 1:1 scale Gundam at Gundam Crisis.

The base kit is the same MG Gundam Ver. O.Y.W. 0079, but the most notable difference is that the base color comes out in white. All the oddball MG Gundam Ver. O.Y.W. 0079 variants released up until now have only come in off-white, jade, gray, and other colors — never the original white. The body colors are still pastel tone like the original MG Gundam Ver. O.Y.W. 0079, but the shades have been tweaked slightly. The MG Gundam Ver. O.Y.W. 0079 already has an insane number of panel lining spots, and for this limited edition I went ahead and did the panel lining with a light gray Gundam marker for a subtle look.

The most important difference lies in the large amount of seals and decals designed exclusively for this limited edition. There's nearly as many as a Ver.Ka kit, and they give it a noticeably different feel compared to the original MG Gundam Ver. O.Y.W. 0079. As a bonus, all the decals can be swapped out with seals, so if you're not a fan of applying decals, you can just use the seals instead.

Since the MG Gundam Ver. O.Y.W. 0079 itself is already a solid, clean kit, there's not much to say about the quality. It's a pretty hard-to-find limited edition, and it's a bit of a shame that a white MG Gundam Ver. O.Y.W. 0079 like this was never given a proper general release — I think it would've sold really well. :-)
