MG XM-X3

Crossbone Gundam X3 Ver.Ka

Kit Review

Straight build

Following the MG Crossbone Gundam X2, the X3 was also released as a Club G exclusive. Basically it's a color variant swapping in a brighter blue/white combination, but the head antenna have been changed for the X3, and new parts are included for the rear forearm armor and internal structure specific to the X3. On top of that, you get a bonus set of open-hand parts and a dedicated Core Fighter stand.

For weapons, the Muramasa Blaster from the Full Cloth version has been added on top of all the original X1 armaments, and thanks to Crossbone's characteristically generous weapon loadout, you can pull off all kinds of action poses. (Though photographing every single one for the review is a bit of a chore lol)

The kit's overall characteristics are naturally the same as the existing X1 and X2. The parts fit is a bit loose throughout, so you won't get that satisfying tight snap feel, but it's the kind of kit you build for the fun of fiddling with all the little details and weapons. And personally, compared to the X1 and X2, I think this one has the prettiest color scheme of the bunch.

There's nothing drastically new here, but the significance of this kit lies in completing the Crossbone lineup with the X3 following the X1 and X2 — and either way, it's just great to be able to get our hands on it, even if only as a limited release. :-)
