The head unit is assembled as one piece with the neck section below, due to the mercury battery compartment.

The cylinders at the front of the ankle. They are cylinders, but they're not articulated — just plain plastic rods T_T.
Would've looked so much cooler if they were plated and movable.
Also, the PG Zaku II doesn't have spring suspension at the ankle. On the plus side, that does make the ankle joints a bit sturdier.
Since the total length of the power pipe armor pieces is longer than the spring itself,
you have to stretch the spring out by force and hold it taut while making sure the armor pieces don't fly off the end
and secure it with a screw.
This construction results in a power pipe that's super taut and springy.
It's got way more life to it than the MG power pipe setup, where the pieces just hang loosely on a rubber tube like beads on a string.
