Some frame parts on the head, thighs, and knees have been swapped out for coated parts.
The cylinder gimmicks on the torso and ankles work the same as before.
Just like before, die-cast parts are used in the hip joints and knees,
giving it stable weight distribution and solid joint strength.
The dual-switch hip joint gimmick is still there too.
Frame articulation is as impressive as ever
Alongside the PG Strike Gundam from 2004 (left).
Let's take a closer look at what's been upgraded compared to the original, part by part.
First up, the head — all the outer armor has been replaced.
It's got a sharper, more angular look overall, and extra detail has been added too.
And following the trends of the times, they've gone with lighter panel lining instead of the heavy dark lines...
The front and rear shoulder armor has also been redesigned to look more three-dimensional.
The upper arm and forearm armor got a design change with the addition of coated parts.
The upper front torso has gotten more refined detail along with the addition of coated parts.
The front skirt sculpt has also become more three-dimensional.
On the side skirts, only the covers have been swapped out with upgraded detailing.
On the thighs, only the rear armor has gotten a slight detail upgrade.
You can see the coated parts swapped into the knee frame,
and as shown on the right, they're even more visible when the knee is bent.
The side calf armor has been made noticeably larger.
The armor below the knee has also been changed, and the ankle guard armor has gotten much bulkier with the addition of coated parts.
On top of that, a newly sculpted pilot figure is included as well.
The Grand Slam is gone, and the standard weapons are the same as before.
The cockpit hatch and various other hatch-open gimmicks are all still there~
The LED unit slot in the back of the head is still there as well.
Leftover parts from building the body.
Looking at these, you can clearly tell which armor pieces have been replaced.
New sculpts, but leftover parts due to duplicate runners.
The stand that came with the PG Aile Strike is included in the box.
You can use the mounting parts to secure the beam rifle and shield to the base of the stand.
Still A+ level articulation.
