This is Custom Set #1 for the PG RX-78 Gundam, released back in 1998. The PG Custom Sets are optional add-on kits that come with clear body parts and special weapons — they don't get reprinted very often, so they're becoming quite the rare finds. Two sets were released for the PG First Gundam and two for the PG Zaku, and then the line just stopped there.
PG Gundam Custom Set #1 replaces the left torso armor runners with clear parts, and throws in an LED light-up beam saber on top of that. The clear armor has really high transparency, which makes it a perfect match for the PG with its detailed inner frame mechanics.
The light-up beam saber uses a special LED setup — same configuration as the one that came with the PG Zeta Gundam — and includes the elongated special battery as well. The light-up effect is pretty solid; dim the lights a bit and it puts on quite an impressive show.
The set is pretty straightforward, so the photos should speak for themselves more than any description could. It's a rare item for sure, but if you're a dedicated fan of the PG First Gundam, this one is absolutely worth adding to your collection. :-)
