This kit is Custom Set #2 for the PG RX-78 Gundam, released in 1999. It includes the remaining half of the clear armor panels that weren't in Custom Set #1 from the previous year, along with a whole bunch of additional weapons.
The clear armor panels work together with Custom Set #1 to make the entire outer armor fully clear. You can see the internal mechanical frame through it, but since the frame tends to be pretty dark overall, the effect really shines more when you've painted the frame beforehand.
The additional weapons include two bazookas, a Gundam Hammer, a Beam Jabelin, and a beam rifle. The beam rifle is essentially the same one that came with the PG First Gundam — the only difference is that the scope part has been swapped out for a clear version. The two bazookas have decent color separation and look impressively large and striking, though the grip peg meant to lock into the palm barely does anything given how big and heavy they are, so getting the hands to hold them properly is a bit of a hassle. The Gundam Hammer comes with a plastic chain made up of separate parts, and the Beam Jabelin is pretty much just big — nothing particularly special about it beyond the size.
This kit really makes the most sense when built alongside Custom Set #1, and for fans of the PG First Gundam, it's definitely a rare find worth adding to the collection. :-)
