Following the 00 Gundam, the 00 QAN[T] has now been released as an RG. This marks the third time the 00 one-piece frame that started with the RG Exia has been reused — and while the skeleton is the same, the frame shape itself is different from the Exia/00.

So you might think of it as just a variation of the RG 00, but since the design is quite different to begin with, everything except the one-piece frame runners is brand new. Honestly, I do wonder if this unit is a bit too minor to warrant a completely new mold from scratch — but it probably got the green light on the assumption that there are still plenty of 00 fans out there.

The overall quality stays true to the RG concept, with feature reproduction, articulation, and color separation that rival or even surpass MG standards. In particular, the combination of the 6 bits, the GN Sword V, and the GN Shield functions are reproduced 100% perfectly. The articulation is excellent, and the joint strength is well-tuned too, so it holds whatever pose you put it in.

One thing that's a bit disappointing is that some parts have weak connection strength and tend to pop off. The small face parts in particular (the mask and camera eye) fall off easily, so you're probably better off gluing them. The GN Shield mount on top of the left shoulder also tends to come loose during posing — I had to reattach it countless times during the review shoot. The connection between the GN Shield and the 6 bits is also a little shaky, and they'd occasionally drop off one by one while posing.
