Kit Review
Straight build + Panel lining + Seals
The articulation is just as excellent as the RG Strike.
The sliding thigh armor and the forward/backward-moving shin armor are especially impressive.

The 23rd RG release is the Build Strike Gundam Full Package from Gundam Build Fighters. As expected, it reuses the frame runners from the RG Strike Gundam, while all the other runners are newly tooled parts. Over 90% of the parts are new, but since the underlying skeleton is the same, the kit's basic characteristics are nearly identical to the RG Strike Gundam.
The basic build stays true to the RG concept, delivering excellent articulation based on a one-piece frame along with solid joint strength, and the white armor is done in a two-tone color scheme following the series tradition. The beam gun → beam rifle → enhanced beam rifle transformation is reproduced faithfully and thoroughly, on par with the MG, and features like the cockpit hatch opening, sliding thigh armor, and the RG Strike's signature shin armor movement gimmick are all well implemented.
As for the Build Booster, the color separation on the wings and the deployable landing gear are nicely reproduced, and it even adds a left/right booster forward/backward sliding gimmick that wasn't present on the MG. It's not something you'd get a ton of practical use out of, but it's more of a "wow, they actually packed this kind of intricate gimmick into such a tiny kit" kind of thing.
The main downside is that the heavy backpack makes it really hard to stand on its own. It's trickier to balance than other RGs, and the feet don't grip the surface very well either, so you're probably better off displaying it on a stand. It might just be the hardest RG to stand upright out of everything released so far.
Anyway, while most of the parts are newly sculpted, only the frame is recycled — and yet it's a kit that somehow feels a bit stale. I think part of it is just getting used to how RG kits are put together, and part of it is that despite the different design, it just feels like you're building another RG Strike.
Anyway, it may not feel all that fresh as a new release, but it's still an RG, so you can enjoy that satisfying, precise build experience and fine detail. It's not novel enough to recommend to someone who has no particular interest in this mobile suit, but if you're a fan of Gundam Build Fighters, this looks like a kit you'll have a great time building. :-)
