This kit is the SD Gundam F90, released as BB Senshi No. 96. Like its predecessor the F91, it's grown in size and comes with a more generous parts selection, retailing at ¥500. The F90's signature attachable weapon packs come with P-Type and V-Type included in the box. It also partially adopts the runner-stacking assembly method that was popular in Gunpla of that era.

Like previous kits, there's a spring-loaded projectile-firing gimmick, but the eye seals only include one option — the kind with pupils already printed in. Most kits back then came with two different eye seal variants, so having just the one is actually a bit unusual. The P-Type can combine into both MS Mode and Atmospheric Re-entry Mode, and you can also use both the P-Type and V-Type weapon packs together to recreate the PV Special configuration.
