True to its image as America's representative Gundam, it captures the look of an American football player really well in SD form, and the Boxer Mode — where you remove the chest armor and slip the shoulders onto the fists — is pulled off nicely too.

For weapons, you get the Double Cannon with a missile-firing gimmick, plus a set of BB Senshi original parts in clear yellow. Attach those to the main body and you get Round Buffalo Mode; attach them to the Double Cannon and you get the Buffalo Cannon. Slot the Core Lander into the middle of that Buffalo Cannon and it becomes the Buffalo Lander — there are all kinds of modes to play around with.

Just like the previous kits, crossover builds with the other G Generation SD kits are possible too. You can combine the weapons from SD Shining/Dragon/Maxter into one massive weapon called the Long Buster. You can also link all three Core Landers in a row to make the Triple Lander, and then combine that with the Long Buster and throw in all the clear parts to build the Buster Liner.

So all in all, it's a solid SD kit with plenty of crossover and mode-swapping fun built in. In 1999, a repackaged version was released without the Double Cannon and BB Senshi original gimmicks, but with a shield and Cyclone Punch added instead — that would be the G Generation Gundam Maxter— so keep that in mind. :-)
