Normally SD kits feature an oversized head in a super-deformed style, but in the Neue Ziel's case, it goes the Super Deformed route (SD standing for "Super Deformed" — meaning exaggerated proportions) by puffing up those massive shoulder armor pieces while keeping the head relatively small.

Since the design is almost entirely monochrome to begin with, after the straight build there are no seals used at all except for the mono-eye. The verniers scattered across the body should really be in gray, but unfortunately they come out the same color as the body, which makes the overall color scheme feel a bit plain. Compared to other SD kits it feels like the super-deforming is dialed back a bit, and it's missing some of that classic stubby cuteness — but even so, next to the Gundam Collection and HGM versions of the Neue Ziel, there's something charming about how thick and squat this one looks. It's got its own personality. Build it alongside the SD Dendrobium and display them together for a cute pairing — a solid, no-fuss SD kit :-)
