Kit Review
Straight build
Mk-II AEUG body.
Goes without saying, but it's identical to the previously released Titans version except for the molded color.

Following the Gundam Mk-II Titans version, a Super Gundam based on the AEUG version has now been released as a BB Senshi. The body is of course identical to the Titans version with only the molded color changed — and rather cheaply, the Super Gundam has had its weapons like the Mk-II rifle and shield dropped from the lineup.. (How much could they possibly save!)
The biggest highlight of this kit is the G-Defenser's gimmicks. Small as it is, the G-Defenser's signature side binder articulation is pulled off pretty convincingly, and the escape cockpit capsule at the front can be detached too. On top of the Super Gundam configuration, it can also combine into G-Flyer form — it's super chubby, but that just makes it all the more adorable. ^^;
Looking at just the Mk-II body, the Titans version feels a bit tougher and cooler, but the Super Gundam's unique bulkiness has its own charm. Sure, the long rifle's rather impressive(...) sink marks are hard to ignore, and the overall quality feels a touch rougher compared to other higher-end BB Senshi kits.. but there's something meaningful about seeing even a special item like this get the SD treatment. :-)
