For an SD, the bottom verniers are actually pretty convincing.

As part of the old G Generation line's revival, the Zeong has been released as a BB Senshi kit. As you can see in the comparison shots with the old version, the size difference is massive, the molded colors are way more convincing, and it's been upgraded beyond comparison in terms of both proportions and detail.

Even just from the straight build, the colorful molded colors come through nicely and it looks great. The head feels a little smaller than expected, but it still has that adorably cute SD charm to it. ^^ As a bonus, wire parts are included to recreate the forearm launch, and interestingly, legs and forearm armor for the Perfect Zeong are also included! That said, the leg parts have almost zero articulation, so they're basically just decorative. (Is this... a recreation of the "legs are just for show" in-universe setting?)

Honestly, the Zeong's design isn't really the kind of shape that lends itself to being cute, so I don't think too many people will be building this kit just for the SD charm factor.. It's an important character, but the Zeong is one of those kits that only the hardcore fans tend to pick up (sad..) Anyway, the old version's quality was pretty rough, so it's great to see it come back completely reborn and done right! :-)
