The most popular mobile suit from Gundam SEED, the Freedom Gundam, has made its way into the BB Senshi SD lineup. Just like the Strike Gundam, the sloppy yellow head antenna seals and the bare shield aren't exactly great, but everything else has been pulled off really well — as you'd expect from such a popular suit.
First off, the wings are really the highlight of the Freedom Gundam, and the gimmick of spreading them out in all directions, extending the cannons inside forward, and deploying the rail guns on the side skirts are all cleanly reproduced. For such a small scale, I'd say this goes well beyond expectations ^^
On top of that, the slightly elongated proportions give the joints a decent range of motion, so you can pull off some pretty convincing poses, and with the wings deploying in all sorts of configurations, it's got a sense of power you wouldn't normally expect from an SD kit. If only the color separation had gotten a little more attention, this could've been a true masterpiece.. It's a bit of a shame, but overall this is definitely a fun one to build and play around with :-)
