Kit Review

The Strike Noir Gundam from Gundam SEED Astray has been released as a BB Senshi, and for an SD kit, it's surprisingly complete in how it recreates all the various features.
First off, the wing unit — which is really the heart of the Strike Noir — is reproduced with impressive accuracy to the source design. All the joint gimmicks work properly, including the rotating linear guns, the detachable Fragarach beam blades, the rotating beam cannons, and more. The articulation is on par with the HG version. On top of that, the kit includes two beam rifles and two beam rifle shorties, all of which can be mounted on the sides of the waist and the rear skirt just like in the original design.
And true to a kit with the new SD proportions and articulation, the action poses with all those weapons and wings look pretty awesome — you can even pull off a dramatic full wing-spread pose. Unlike other SD SEED series kits, there are no hollow gaps on the inside of the legs either, making this easily one of the top-tier kits in the SD SEED lineup in terms of quality! ^^
This kit is really something special for how faithfully it translates the stylish Strike Noir Gundam into SD form — it's just a blast to fiddle around with. If you're a fan of the design or have been interested in the Strike Noir, this is definitely one of the better SD kits out there and well worth building. :-)
