Kit Review
Straight build
Straight build
The latest SD Cross Silhouette release is the Gundam OO Diver Ace. The format is the same as before, but you can detach the Diver Ace Unit and reconfigure it as a standard Gundam OO Diver. With all the weapons and accessories included, the overall parts count feels a lot more generous compared to previous releases.
With the SD Frame, articulation is limited so posing stays fairly simple, but swapping in the separately sold CS Frame opens up more dynamic poses. Just like the previous Zeta Gundam release, the proportions are already pretty good even on the SD Frame, so the difference before and after the CS swap isn't all that dramatic. The eye rotation gimmick is also carried over, and it's been upgraded — there's now a reflective silver foil sticker to place behind the dual eyes, giving them a nice sparkle.
Between the solid color separation and the generous amount of seals, the straight build looks great right out of the box, and the articulation is decent enough too. If you're a Build Divers fan, this is definitely a kit you can have a lot of fun with without many complaints. :-)
