The 7th entry in the SD Cross Silhouette lineup is the Unicorn Gundam 03 Phenex Destroy Mode Narrative Ver. (Yep, still a mouthful of a name even looking at it again.) It's the Phenex with the Armed Armor DE tail added to the mix — and while the Phenex did already come out as a BB Senshi, here we are again.

The basic setup is the same as the previous releases — the SD frame can be swapped out for the separately sold CS Frame. And just like before, swapping to the CS Frame gets the elbows and knees moving, which makes poses look a lot more natural.

The overall silhouette and design aren't drastically different from the old BB Senshi Phenex, but when you compare them side by side, the sculpting is noticeably more three-dimensional. The legs have much better volume, and the Armed Armor DE has improved sculpting with clear parts thrown in — all of which gives the Cross Silhouette version a real sense of being a step up from what came before.

The slender CS mode definitely looks cooler, but honestly the SD mode alone already feels great, so for anyone who's a Unicorn fan, this is a fun SD kit I'd definitely recommend. :-)
